What happens next comes form a deep protective streak Luka has for Avery. These are my favorite types of dark romances - Luka takes over her protection and caring for every need. He’s in the face of any man touching or looking at her. She, of course, makes none of this easy for Luka.
Luka’s obsession plays out pretty hot amid his tasks as a mafia hit man. Avery plays the smart, back talking independent woman that is, if she’s being honest, getting exactly wants.
