A gentleman is a man who can play the accordion, but doesn't...

A gentleman also wouldn't ask the world to pray for them because they have a hangnail, their car won't start and Junior spilled milk and they don't have time to clean it up good and it might smell when they get home.

I must be old fashioned, but I thought praying for assistance was for the big stuff and the rest you were on your own for. It's also one thing to have those conversations between yourself and God, but to ask other people to pray for you, too? Does He decide who to help by the volume of prayers He gets on someone's behalf? How about these people that talk constantly about prayer, "God is Great", etc. and never step foot in a church? If you say it enough without backing it up with more than just asking, the words become meaningless. After that, they become annoying.

Thus concludes my Sunday sermon. Indy car racing at 1PM.
