My fourth period class presently stands at 31. I only have 30 chairs so there has been an unorganized, yet effective, effort for one person to be absent each day. A "floater" sits in whatever seat the absent person has vacated. He's pretty much the only one at this point whose name I can remember when he's not seated.
The class has 24 boys and 7 girls. Nineteen of them need some kind of reading or language intervention.
This is going to be interesting.
