Indy cars race in Sonoma this weekend meaning I have to figure out Pacific time. The last race finished under rain and two teams filed a protest on the outcome - Scott "Boo Hoo" Dixon and Oriol Servia's teams each believed they should have finished ahead of winner, Ryan Hunter-Reay. The race results were upheld.
Penske's Will Power was fined $30k for giving the double bird to the race officials and put on probation. The race officials were not put on probation for restarting a race under the hazardous conditions that resulted in several cars crashing (including Will Power). Unlike a Target team driver, Power will take his punishment without complaint and he apologized.
The best news of the week is Wannica going to ASSCAR. Good riddance!
Edited to add that Helio qualified second so maybe he'll have a good race. It's been a bad year for him and his contract is up for renewal, too.
