Dexter and Hollie’s story was so romantic. Hollie was the girl who came from nothing, was fiercely independent, unwaveringly devoted to family and a person who only knew how to give. Dexter was generous, kind and thought himself unable to be in love with someone because of the past. Together they pushed one another to be better together than they were apart.
I really loved the story behind the jewelry competition and the history behind Dexter’s parents’ jewelry business. He was so obviously successful yet still so humble and focused on what was important. When Hollie shared his passion for designs they couldn’t seem better suited but she did not disappoint us by taking an easy route rather than remaining independent.
The importance of honesty, communication and family are emphasized throughout the story. The smoking hot chemistry between Hollie and Dexter made it an all around great read.
