Under His Protection by Isabelle Laase

With Victoria being the president’s daughter, her father put Agent Cruz in charge of her security detail because she was quite belligerent and uncooperative with all the other agents.  He dealt with her in a firm manner that brooked no argument.

I enjoyed the adventure and intrigue in the story but read the book mainly to read about Alec and Virginia succumbing to their attraction and mutual interest in a little kink like D/s relationships.  When Alec finally admitted he wasn’t just protecting her as part of his job, that was even better, because who doesn’t find a protective alpha hot?

Victoria could be a little annoying at times because she would do impulsive things that made it difficult for Alec to keep her safe.  She had a lot of growing up to do in a number of areas, and her relationship with Alec was a step in that direction.
