What I liked so much about this romance between Nate and Becca is that the seeds were planted before Nate “made it” and based on this mutual respect. It make us really like Nate and Becca not only for the kind of people the are, but how they strive for that integrity until they just can’t tamp down their feelings any longer.
As a hockey romance, there isn’t a lot of the game itself in this book with Nate being the owner and Office Manager Becca being out of commission for this part of the season. Becca’s situation seems to spark something in Nate that becomes quite passionate. They try to hide from it, and those angsty moments are done well in this story. It friends lovers with a feeling that it was inevitable.
