Coming Home by Samantha Skye

The story itself is a good one and I loved the characters of Scarlett and Shaun as well as well as some secondary characters.  The romance was good, the suspense a little too easy to figure out, and the steam was ok.

There were issues with the writing that had me thinking some better editing would probably help the book achieve its potential.  Several phrases and themes were repeated frequently and often awkwardly.  For example, Shaun was a sought after bachelor in Boston.  He mention these a lot identifying himself as “the most eligible bachelor in Boston” and one who“had a different woman every week”.  There is nothing wrong with either except when he kept pointing it out, it felt weird.  What successful guy would say that about himself?

So, I did feel compelled to read the entire book to the end to find how it turned out, so aside from the works, it is worth reading for the possessive alpha factor.
