When you choose a book like POWER to read, it comes with certain expectations. Expectations of unconventional, possibly even twisted carnal events and the story that drives interest in them.
I loved the story itself, but the characters were the stars. Jett and Rachel you will want to hate for different reasons, and there is no rush to demonstrate any redeeming qualities. Raven is the light in the story and makes her the most vulnerable to being hurt.
Jett does not disappoint on his debauched ways, his possessiveness of Raven and the fiancé that reaches new lows in maternal behavior.
So, POWER is just what you need if looking for that steamy, debauched and dirty age gap and mother’s fiancé (soon to be step-daddy?) escape for a few hours.
