LOVE AND LIES IN TINSELTOWN is the story of small town guy Riley suffering one tragedy after another until his aunt whisks him off to Los Angeles to be her “assistant” in her company as a agent to the stars.
At first Riley makes some bad decisions, but his good character never completely fails him, and that is what kept me reading this story. His complicated relationship with Marisa, her family, some crazy exes, debauched celebrities get him in tough situations, but his unusual aversion to dishonesty and hurting others comes through for him.
There is a lot of passion and even some events that might feel a little skeezy, but that is good writing. I do think the immaturity of some of the characters brings the story down in some areas.
