There is a prequel to this story about the one night stand between Harper and Kieran. This book stands alone without the prequel but picks up three years after their first meeting.
In THE PLAYING GAME we find Kieran as the veteran player in the new hockey expansion team that comes to Harper’s hometown. He spies her in the crowd and sets out to find out who she is.
Harper doesn’t make it easy, but through the course of the story we learn why she wouldn’t let herself contact Kieran in those three years. We also come to understand the difference between the man she thought Kieran was and the man he is.
It’s a really romantic second chance story with lots of heat. I also loved the balance of hockey life and Harper’s life as a nurse. These are two really great characters that the readers will really enjoy following and seeing what happens to their lives. Great book!
