THE MORE I HATE starts a series that feels both contemporary and gilded age. The author’s create the air of society sophistication. Amelia, bread to be a society wife is used as a pawn by an evil mother. Luc is out for power and revenge.
Fiery and determined Amelia refuses to give in to Luc’s authoritative ways and he metes out spicy consequences for her defiance. We then see something of a transformation triggered by Luc’s protective nature.
The book is done well and you’ll enjoy it if you like the spitfire vs billionaire.
