MR ABSOLUTELY NOT! is a book that is entertaining on so many levels. Salinger is a grumpy, often nasty, and quite the “animal” in not word and deed. We struggle to not like him, but can’t help ourselves. Salinger’s family has to be read about to believe.
Mandy doesn’t need anyone, but yes, she does. She’s determined to solve her problems on her own and great a mucking things up badly. Her family provided so much mom and dad energy humor.
Salinger is the complete jerk of a boss. He’s pretty much a complete jerk in the whole book, but quite a spicy and devoted one. Mandy actually handles him well and it’s a really entertaining read.
