RUTHLESS CREATURES is a great story from start to finish, although it feels a little unfinished. It’s not really ending on a cliffhanger but it’s also not ending with epilogues of the future. Even so, I loved how it ended and getting the taste of the next story to be told in the series.
Now, the plot is exciting, suspenseful and has that element of danger associated with mafia romances. You do have to suspend traditional logic to accept some of Natalie and Sloane’s decisions, but remember it’s not real, so enjoy it.
Kage is more than an inked and well molded hunk of testosterone, but that part of his existence keeps things ever so interesting. When things start getting tied together and some of your suspicions start to look pretty close to reality, you’ll probably be wrong because JT Geissinger is so clever with the plot lines. You’ll be satisfied nonetheless.
It’s dark, mysterious, crime-laden, and “who is going to clean up this mess?” bloody, but I recommend it for mafia, suspense, lite BDSM and protector romance lovers.
