The first half of AFTER THE FALL matches up time wise with the events of book 3 seeing King’s and The Fallen’s side of things while Lion and Haleigh Rose were with the Berserkers. As such, there is a lot of repetition in the events of the story.
If you you love those all consuming, breathless type of romance that makes it seem the two can only exist with one another, this will be a great book for you. There is tragedy, corruption and some events that will require a few tissues, too. There are a few surprises revealed as the overarching story line moves along, but clearly there is more story to tell because the mastermind of all this corruption remains free.
On a side note, King has been characterized as a poet from the beginning. The poems are appear throughout the book displaying real talent for the genre. It was very interesting to find all of “King’s” poems have been published in their own book, KING OF IRON HEARTS demonstrating the wide literary talent you will see throughout this series.
