Bright Midnight by Karina Hale

Anders and Shay lit up the pages with a heartbreaking past that would have damaged a lessor love.  If your thing is seeing broken people that have every reason to stop trying to find happiness give in to the person that completes them, you will love this novel.

Karina Hale’s writing is poetic, but never more so when describing settings and life in Norway.  She creates dramatic main characters and secondary characters with memorable personalities.

BRIGHT MIDNIGHT is one of those stories that stayed on my mind long after I read it.

Disavow: The Dumonts Book 3 by Karina Halle

From the very first pages, the story will grip you and you will be compelled to keep reading as the tension - due to emotional pain and passion - keep building.  Pascal is so very difficult to like at first which makes his transformation through the story that much more satisfying.  A rake, a conman and a man that would sell out any family member with callous indifference has to have quite an impetus to want a different life.

Gabrielle could not resist him despite the burden she carried and the pain and purpose she had to keep from him. The story is as much about her transformation as Pascal’s.

The conclusion is so satisfying.  You will love this story for the characters, the intrigue, the gripping plot and the passionate moments.
