Dare To Love Me by Rosa Lucas

I really enjoyed the character dynamic in this story. Daisy is unfiltered in such a clever way and Edward works so hard at being enigmatic, stoic and proper. The formula make for an entertaining opposites attract pairing. Half the fun is figuring out how these characters can possibly work, but as they reveal themselves little by little, they somehow make perfect sense as right for one another.

Empire State Enemies by Rosa Lucas

I wanted to read EMPIRE STATE ENEMIES because I enjoy a good story about a playboy that needs his tarnished image polished up by a rule following PR grunt.

This book does that much better than most. It puts some jealousy, drama, skirting with felonies, and interesting family dynamics together to follow an out of control Connor.

I received an early copy of the book to read, and my honest opinion is that it was hard to put down.

Manhattan State of Mind by Rosa Lucas

I was expecting a fairly typical workplace romance with an amnesia twist, but MANHATTAN STATE OF MIND has a lot going on that makes it a real page turner.

One is a hot mess, stumbling through one bad decision after another.  The other seems pretty levelheaded even when blindsided by quite intriguing events.

I don’t say this often, but JP will never make my list of book boyfriends. That’s one of the many things that makes this book so entertaining.

Fighting Mr. Knight by Rosa Lucas

<strong>Good book</strong>

Jack Knight started out in a rough neighborhood of London and built a $7B construction dynasty.  Bonnie’s roots are also modest and she became a conservation architect in a boutique firm granted a contract to Jack’s business.

But Bonnie got burned after “fishing off the company dock”. Her ex-fiancé was also her boss so it all starts out really awkward.

Jack doesn’t do relationships - ever.  Bonnie is different.  She has trust issues that color all of her decisions.  The mystery part of the part of the story takes an interesting turn and we are left to wonder if love and passion will be enough.  Good book.

Taming Mr. Walker by Rosa Lucas

Danny has been Charlie’s brother’s best friend for two decades.  The only thing Tristian was insistent about is that Danny and his other friends stay away from his little sister.  In TAMING MR. WALKER, Danny continues to give Charlie his grumpy cold shoulder for that reason.

Charlie, on the other hand, is a little unfiltered.  Well, a lot unfiltered - and funny.  No one excites her like Danny, but his continued rejection in the face of some embarrassing moments have made their interactions more like enemies than friends.

This is such a good age-gap billionaire boss romance.  It’s got the unrequited live, the miscommunication, jealousy, and the playboy past that ramps up the conflict and emotion at every turn. As a story, it is quite a ride.

Fifth Avenue Fling by Rosa Lucas

I truly enjoyed this book. As a nanny/ boss book it is pretty familiar, but the characters are masterful. Clodagh has to be one of my favorite female characters in a long time. She is fun, but remarkably more grounded than a decade older self made billionaire. And funny? I woke my husband with a few of the guffaws.

FIFTH AVENUE FLING is a perfect marriage of humor, steam and that beautiful game of trying to deny oneself love because it’s the “right thing to do” and not being very successful. I really loved this book and I’m glad it introduced me to a new (to me), talented author.

Resisting Mr. Kane by Rosa Lucas

I chose to read this book because of the age-gap romance connected to a law office.  RESISTING MR. KANE did not disappoint in those areas or in the “other side of the tracks” and single dad tropes.

Tristian is this high powered alpha attorney - gorgeous, charismatic and wealthy. He meets Elly on vacation in a whirlwind romance neither expected.  In a stunning twist, we find out what “it’s complicated” means when it comes to Tristian.

Not only is the novel steamy, but Tristian wants to solve all Elly’s problems (because he can) and she is a proud young woman that wants to succeed on her own, even if that means enduring some discomfort.

This is the first book I have read in this series so it seems the other two must be based on Tristian’s friends Jack and Daniel.  It is well written in admitting to being a good story, so I will read the others, too.
