 PROMISE ME THIS is unrequited love on steroids. Best friends from kindergarten, growing up joined at the hip then separated for 17 years! Harlow and Ian are great characters. The Wilders are just what you’d expect from a small town, blended family. Harlow’s daughter Sage is sassy without being annoying. It’s a really good single mom/best friend/second chance romance.

The Marriage Effect by Karla Sorensen

I really enjoy this series, but THE MARRIAGE EFFECT didn’t do it for me. Logan and his young half sisters he was raising were fabulous. Logan being so disciplined and loyal was sigh-worthy. What I couldn’t get into was Paige’s demeanor. Between the two of them, it never really felt like they wanted the same happily ever after.

The Ex-Effect by Karla Sorensen

For a football romance, THE EX EFFECT doesn’t have a lot of actual football in it, but the romance between Ava and Matthew takes an interesting journey. They knew one another when Matthew was engaged to her sister setting up a lot of interesting twists in the story.  

The Bombshell Effect by Karla Sorenson

I loved reading THE BOMBSHELL EFFECT from the first to last page.  It’s a great story overall with the grumpy single dad football star and the “bombshell” unexpected team owner, but it’s the compelling relationships - romance, spice, teammates, and family - that make it worth reading. I’m all in on this series.
