Wrath by Nikki Rome

Picking up right where book two left off, WRATH is about avenging the wrongs committed by Valentina’s cousin Mario.

I liked that Valentina came into her power, not only over the three men, but also her power as a partner to them in their mafia endeavors.

As a reverse harem romance, I found it more interesting that there was already a family in the men and that they had been preparing for Valentina to become theirs long before she knew the three were waiting for her.

The ending is really good but might have been fun to see how some of the children came into the world.

Envy by Nikki Rome

The Dark Kings start ENVY by going to Sicily where Valentina was taken.  We learn more about what troubles Nico.  The bo d between the four grows as they face challenges to them and the Corsetti family.

Lust by Nikki Rome

LUST takes us through the complicated relationship the develops between Dante, Ares, Nico and Valentina.  They are her protectors; her avengers.  She is something different to each of the men.

The background story started in the novella GREED with rival mafia’s holding auctions for woman and other trafficking.  The Dark Kings are no choir boys, but they draw the line at exploitation of women and girls.  Valentina’s father was running the operation.

Be prepared for a hot, steamy time in The Dark Kings’ mansion.  The cliffhanger was not too much of a surprise, but when will these characters learn not to go to the restroom in a club?

Greed by Nikki Rome

GREED is one smoking hot story.  For a novella, it packs in a whole lot of action of both the mafia and carnal variety.

Anton and Maya were already hopelessly in love but separated by their anger and hurt.  When Maya goes to Anton as the only person that can help her, it sets off a chain of events that makes for a dynamite second chance romance.

Part of the purpose of the novella seems to be setting the stage for The Dark Kings - Dante, Nico and Ares and the world of the Corsetti mafia family.  I’m ready for the rest of the series.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
