I liked the suspense storyline. The romance was good, also. The metaphors and lime, pine and gasoline scents got a little distracting.

Defending What’s Mine by Logan Chance

DEFENDING WHAT’S MINE is not my usual romance novel pick, but I was more than ready to try something new. I am familiar with the author, but bodyguard defender I only read occasionally. What drew me to try this advanced copy was the heiress being caught in an arranged marriage, but to a guy that gave her the creeps.

What I found myself enjoying was the attention to telling a story rich in detail of a private security bodyguard amid a few layers of suspense. Asher not only protected Charlotte but filled a role that allowed her to be herself.

There is romance, danger, suspense. creepy guys and tests of loyalty and I’d recommend the book.

Tempting Mr. Scrooge by Logan Chance

If you only have a short time to set aside to read during the holidays, TEMPTING MR. SCROOGE is a book that will keep you entertained with a spicy romance between the boss and his PA.

January’s family takes Nicholas under their wing despite the fake nature of their romantic relationship. Secrets get in the way. Feelings get hurt. But it’s Christmas and they get their HEA. Read to book to see how it goes down.

Say My Name by Logan Chance

SAY MY NAME takes place mostly in a high end adult club owned by Devereaux. Chloe goes to work for him as one of his cocktail waitresses to try to find out who is responsible for a series of murders of girls working the VIP area of the club.

It’s a book with a lot of chemistry between our main characters that they spend a lot of time denying and fighting.  Even so, Devereaux finds ways to whisper things in Chloe’s ear that reveal his interests and peak hers.  He has quite the steamy imagination that we all wait (including Chloe) to see if he will put it in action.

The suspense is good, the twists plentiful.  By the time we find out who is responsible for various nefarious acts, I personally end up accusing just about everyone but the twins and Chloe.  I was drawn to read the book because of the idea of the serious club owner and the sassy cocktail waitress he felt compelled to protect from their first meeting.

Stolen by the Boss by Logan Chance

This is a series where each book ends with a HEA but there is a common plot unresolved that runs through all the books.  The first book, STOLEN BY THE BOSS sets the stage for the overarching plot as well as deals with Dean and Sophie’s story.

In order to find a human trafficker, Dean and Sophie pretend to married to enter the inner circle of an “adult” club owner and various debaucheries.  Sophie is independent, single minded and impulsive.  Dean is much more analytical and likes to think he can control his reaction to Sophie.

I like stories where the H feels protective and acts a little over the top when jealous.  Sophie further adds fuel to the flames by seeking out some of the most dangerous men in the club to get information from.  Dean has to save her from her impulsive ways and she finds herself trusting him and depending on him.

The overarching plot that drives this series about Bishop Blackstone and the four mafias is a good one and I am ready for the next book.

The NewlyFEDS by Logan Chance

THE NEWLYFEDS has an intriguing background story and a slow burn steamy hot fake marriage workplace romance that will give you a few hours of enjoyable escape time. 

It’s tough being FBI field agents and having a relationship, too, but Vin and Addison are forced into a situation where they have pose as newlyweds in a single urban cul de sac.  They don’t really like one another but the fun is in watching them get to know one another and wind up in situations where they are supposed to be playing a part, start to realize they aren’t, then start playing the part when no one else is around.

Dirty Vegas Nights (Trifecta Book 2) by Logan Chance

Axel is the 1/3 of Trifecta that doesn’t like to perform and doesn’t like that attention from women (any more).  Book 2 started with new neighbors moving next to Axel and Damien’s house - Emma, her toddler daughter Felicity, and her mom Janet.

Axel is what I live in a alpha hero - protective, singularly focused on his woman, and gentle and loving with children.  Emma is a strong, independent woman that has the grace to accept help, not because she can’t take care of herself, but because it makes Axel happy to take care of them.

I liked this book a lot.  The timeline on the three books seems to be moving along with the purchase of the club, and while Emma finds out Axel is an exotic dancer by going to the club with friends, she has an entirely different perspective you will find interesting when you read the book.  It looks like book 3 will see the club near or at completion and Damien, the business minded one, will be finding his woman.

Hot Vegas Nights by Logan Chance

Logan Chance gives us Ben as our bad boy exotic dancer in HOT VEGAS NIGHTS.  Ben is proud of his manwhoreishness, taking home a different girl  (or two) every night.  The girls that come to his show know the get one night and he makes it worth their while.

Clara winds up at Ben’s performance and it’s clear she is different from the other ladies that frequent the venue.  She’s independent when she doesn’t have to be and different from every girl Ben’s ever met.  She is conflicted about Ben’s intentions.

This was a fun book to read because it was different.  Having the guys be the dancers was refreshing.  We’ve read a lot about women dancing clubs and how they are viewed, so you will find it interesting how the topic of male dancers living with their choices
