Two Truths and a Marriage by Nicole Snow

I enjoyed TWO TRUTH AND A MARRIAGE because it really looked like Dex was going to be a tough nut to crack while Junie was determined to be as contrary as possible.

The grumpy/grumpy trope was at work first, then the fake relationship. I really enjoyed the suspense part of the story and putting the pieces together kept me reading.

I enjoyed receiving a complementary copy of the book to read early and give my honest opinion.  I would recommend it.

The Broken Protector by Nicole Snow

THE BROKEN PROTECTOR is high on mystery and suspense.  It has the vibe of a creepy small town with perfection on the outside and something sinister behind the scenes.

Delilah is one tough cookie.  After the first incident, normal people would turn tail and run (short book, though), but she sticks it out despite the constant prickles of danger.  Lucas knows things as a citizen of Redhaven and as the local police officer.  His protective instincts are on “high” when it comes to Delilah.  This story has trouble written all over it.

As a steamy, small town suspense/mystery, I really enjoyed THE BROKEN PROTECTOR for it’s atmosphere, story, and descriptive writing.

One Bossy Proposal by Nicole Snow

I have read many of Nicole Snow’s books from Heart’s Edge to the Grumpy series, so I am a fan.  I didn’t like this book.

I thought it was too long.  By the 30% point the combative banter between Lincoln and Dakota had gone from “cute” to “really annoying”.  And it never stopped.  They kept rehashing the pastries, the connection to Poe, and prior wedding woes.  I couldn’t see why anyone would like someone who talked to them the way Dakota did much less let them work for them.  

Other than the part with Wyatt, we never saw the big picture that made up the theme of the story - the marketing campaign for the wedding line.  Very little time was spent surrounding this innovative idea they had, then just like that it was gone and never heard from again.  How did they end up doing the marketing for the wedding line?

So, the first half of the book could have been cut in half.  The last half could have left out some personal interactions between Lincoln and Dakota and expanded more on the story.

Damaged Grump by Nicole Snow

This story is a steamy romance but also has a sinister side that Roland has been immersed in for years.  When Callie comes along his singularly focused motive drive Roland to enlist her in his mission.

I liked the character of Barrett - Roland’s brother who had also been harmed.  Roland’s life revolved around his brother who had been a famous, talented young singer.  Callie faced a similar situation with her father.

There is a lot going on in this book.  We really got to know the secondary characters.  The relationship between Callie and Roland was volatile and passionate. We see them slowly come to trust one another, revealing secrets from their past.

There were a few spots I though were a little long winded.  They didn’t spoil the story, but usually made me put the book down and go back to it later.  I did like the epilogue a lot.  I always wonder about that part of the relationship after I finish a good book.

The Worst Best Friend by Nicole Snow

THE WORDT BEST FRIEND is Weston who falls for his best friend’s younger sister, Rachel.  He was forever putting her first and rescuing her from first her childhood mishaps, and later from threats to her as an adult.

I loved Weston’s story about the impact of his servicing in the army in Afghanistan and why he enlisted. He seemed so confident and driven in everything he did except when it came to Rachel.

The two are the worst at communication so all sorts of unspoken feelings and miscommunications create the angst between this couple in the story.  Surrounding their romance are the mysterious night visitors and thieves causing Weston’s hero gene to activate almost full time.

The story is steamy with the small town quirkiness and many side characters from previous stories.  There were some slow spots I had to push through but I was really invested in the mystery and had to find out what happened.

Perfect Grump by Nicole Snow

There are several spots in this story where the thought will go through your mind, “No, don’t do that!” then the anticipation for the trouble that will eventually arise builds.  That’s because Nick isn’t your typical billionaire bad boy CEO.  He’s a billionaire hot mess bad boy whose antics speak of impulsivity and really bad decisions.

Reese is the straight arrow.  How they initially know one another is really clever.  She really is his opposite in every way from the billionaire to the hot mess part.

It’s a steamy opposites attract, enemies to lovers suspense novel.  I liked the build up to their relationship.  For me, the last few chapters were a little slow.

No Gentle Giant by Nicole Snow

The story in the little town that has a whole lot of bad luck continues with Felicity, the owner of The Nest coffee shop getting to know one of her customers and his son.  

This is a story with a very hot, protective, mild mannered former SEAL raising his son outside his native Alaska by working construction jobs.  Eli is a charming, inquisitive boy with a thing for photography.

We learn that Felicity has been plagued with misfortune most of her life due to her father’s choices.  He does under suspicious circumstances and Felicity has reason to need to know what happened.  Alaska can’t let her face these difficulties alone.  She doesn’t want him and his son involved in what could be dangerous business.

Will Felicity accept Alaska’s help?  Does she think there is more to his involvement than his protective nature?  Does she trust herself to be the kind of woman that fits into Alaska and Eli’s lives?  You should read this suspenseful love story to find out.

Bossy Grump by Nicole Snow

Ward checks all the boxes for a hot guy and an insufferably BOSSY GRUMP.  Paige meets him unexpectedly while she’s on a Tinder-type date from h*ll.  After an embarrassing evening she finds herself starting a new job at Ward’s business.

This is a novel where both have been hurt in love, lack trust and rub each other the wrong way until they are forced to work together.  Ward cares too much about what everyone else thinks. He can’t seem to let scandals from the past stop dictating his life.  

This is a novel where everyone knows the couple is in love except them.  They are both too busy rearranging their baggage to look at what is in front of them.  When the pretending starts to become real, insecurities set in and misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and things that shouldn’t be said are said.  The ending seemed to last little too long.

The Hero I Need by Nicole Snow

THE HERO I NEED is an excellent read for two main reasons.  The first is the story of a family and a man moving on after his wife’s painful passing.  The second is the really unique story this all took place around - exotic animal rescue.

This is going to be your kind of book if you love those stories of single dad’s soldiering on with their little girls at the center of their lives after their wife dies.  Grady is the guy every single mom wants snag because he gorgeous, resourceful, owns a successful business, and sets a good example for his girls.

Willow is at a bit of an unsettled moment in her normally planned life and one thing after another keeps piling on to make her situation worse.  Grady comes along and rescues her, but she keeps getting into trouble.

I like stories when both characters are such good people that need to find that other good person they deserve.  That goes fit children, too.  Grady and Willow have great chemistry and you will enjoy the steamier parts of the story, too.

Office Grump by Nicole Snow

This has to be one of my favorite types of office romances.  The man is a gorgeous, tyrannical type boss that goes through assistants ever two weeks, barking at everyone along the way.  The woman needs a job really bad and gets hired for something she’s not really qualified for, but does a stellar job and then some.  She’s the only one that won’t put up with the bosshole’s attitude.

What we learn about Mag is that he’s protecting himself and his company from the past.  As an attractive guy, women are often hitting on him.  He won’t work with women that touch or flirt with him.  He is also protective and possessive in so many ways - some just old fashion protecting his girl’s honor and other times just making sure she doesn’t have to walk home in the dark.

Brina takes secretly care of her parents and herself and needs money when she gets laid off.  She and Mag meet in a fairly confrontational way, but she agrees to work for him and becomes indispensable.

The road is rocky for our couple mostly because of the demons that chase Mag from the past.  There are various plot twists that impact their relationship and that makes the book really good.  I do think there could be some streamlining in the writing that would not harm any of the story elements.  I’m glad I read this book and would read more books from this author.

The Best Friend Zone by Nicole Snow

This friends to lovers story starts with the mother of all slow burns.  Nicole Snow teases us and takes us one romantic step forward and two back until the burn ignites like a prairie fire in North Dakota.

Tory and Quinn spent their summers with their respective grandparents until Tory was 18 and Quinn enlisted in the Army.  Years later, Tory returned to nurse an injury she received dancing and found Quinn had returned to Dallas, ND, too. Quinn looked out for Tory during those summers and she had a crush on this sweet older boy.

Aside from being a total gentleman, Quinn was one of my favorite kind of heroes - the protective type that could sense when something was wrong and “his girl” needed him.  Tory had the perfect personality for a protector - she wasn’t by any means helpless, but she also appreciated how safe he made her feel.  Quinn also respects what Tory wants to do with her life and can’t do enough to make her happy.  She makes Quinn happy by being happy.

There is a storyline that adds danger and intrigue making this a page turner.  I would be remiss not to mention the goats that really grew on me. This is a story with love, passion, humor and enough whimsy to keep the reader smiling.  I recommend THE BEST FRIEND ZONE.

The Romeo Arrangement by Nicole Snow

THE ROMEO ARRANGEMENT is a book you won’t be able to put down first for the lurking danger lurking from  and second for Ridge’s talented ways of turning a phrase.

Grace and her dad are in trouble.  Just when it looks like nothing will save them, Ridge is drawn to protect Grace.  He becomes her hero.  She’s not the type to rely on others, but she finds herself trusting Ridge just when she most needs a hero.

When Ridge first lays eyes on Grace, he knows something is different.  He is charming, protective, funny, and delivers super hot commentary during their passionate moments.  He and his former military friends set out to.

Nicole Snow writes wonderful romance novels but THE ROMEO ARRANGEMENT is a really special treat with it’s unique storyline and the small town of Dallas, ND with its host of characters whose stories I look forward to experiencing, too.

No White Knight by Nicole Snow

When Holt first returns to Heart’s Edge, he tried to ensure we wouldn’t like him - he had been a cad, a rake, a man only out for himself.  In “No White Knight” we get to see the real Holt, the brother and man he never had a reason to be, until now.  The real Holt was Libby’s White Knight, protecting her from unknown dangers, and from her own dark musings from the past.

To say that Holt and Libby had great chemistry is an understatement.  Their passionate, frenzied encounters leapt off the page keeping the reader enthralled and intrigued about what could possibly come next.  Libby had a certain style of bravado that never seemed to soften until one started to wonder how much was real and how much was just protecting her fragile heart.

I loved how Holt let Libby bluster all she needed to and still made it clear he wasn’t going anywhere.  I found the mystery of this story to be a unique plot line, although the importance of it to Libby and the story trickled out a little on slow side without many new clues or bits of evidence being revealed in a timely manner.  I like a story that has me testing my own theories and still be guessing until the end, and “No White Knight” did not disappoint.

This book was a great addition to the Heart’s Edge series.  I am hoping there is another story still to be told of Felicity and the sheriff.
