My Rules by TL Swan

I have been waiting for MY RULES because the Kingston Lane group of people are all so memorable. Blake and Rebecca’s story put me through the wringer. It has all the angsty romance high points - the deplorable ex, the jealousy, the little fights and big fights. As a friends to lovers story, he falls first and she has trust issues. It might have made me little misty at times.

The Bonus by TL Swan

THE BONUS is easily one of my favorite books of the year - and I read a lot of books. I was getting teary pretty early on because of the poignant, unrequited love story of Gabriel and Grace.

The story is carried out over seven years. It flowed seamlessly through their lives that went on without each other, but never forgetting one another. Great characters, breathless romance, and swoon worthy parenting all contribute to this entertaining read.

Gym Junkie by T.L.Swan

I don’t know why I waited so long to read GYM JUNKIE, but it was excellent. Brock is an animal is a slightly bad and mostly good way. Tully thinking she can get the upper hand in the relationship is entertaining. But the bright peaks and dark valleys of their relationship are what kept me reading. If you like the tough guy that can only be broken by losing his girl, you will love this book.

My Temptation by TL Swan

What a wonderfully unexpected story.  I can’t decide what was the best thing about it because it consumed me from the first page.  Henley is such a compelling and unique character.  His presence fills every scene he is part of and Juliet has the big personality necessary to deal with the challenges of having a relationship with Henley.

MY TEMPTATION is such a good romance.  The passion and the intimate nuances of the relationship were not just there to make a hot story.  They made us understand what was going on in Henley and Juliet’s minds.

As a series starter, we also met other residents of Kingston Lane.  These secondary characters are almost as memorable as Henley and Juliet and I look forward to their stories.

Ferrara by TL Swan

I have had FERRARA on my bookshelf since the day it came out but kept putting off reading it because I knew it would portray one of those agonizingly beautiful romance that would break our hearts (mine and Francesca’s) and bring on the waterworks.

It did.  Giuliano and Francesca are soul mates from the first glance as teenaged, but they have the worst luck in being with the one they love.  The most haunting part of the story is their love was and they had to go on without one another.  It wasn’t just hard to do; it was impossible.

The plot takes us through so many twists, and times of love as well as times of loss.  When you get finished with the book you will long for the kind of love Giuliano and Francesca had.

Never a dull moment.  Excellent story.

The Do-Over by T.L. Swan

Like most fans of The Miles High Club, I have been waiting for Christopher’s story and for this book THE DO-OVER.

Christopher has long been a player and just oozes charm.  He’s irreverently funny and completely without filter.  And of course, he is never going to fall in love like his brothers.

He decides to take a year’s sabbatical and backpack across Europe and it is at a hostel along the way that he meets farm girl Hayden, out to see the world, too.

Well, I was completely swept up into this romance from the first pages.  The chemistry between these two is fun and they were inseparable - until they weren’t, and everyone, myself included, could feel the depth of their connection but also the internal conflict in each.

So I laughed often, and wept for more than just a section or chapter.  It was such a good book I never wanted it to end, but alas it did end and I decided to enjoy it until the very end when I would be disappointed that I couldn’t read it for the first time again.

A fantastic addition to the series.  Read it!

His Christmas List by TL Swan

I thought this story was hot, romantic and a heartwarming kind of insta-love story made better by having a rugged man in his mountain cabin in Alaska and a designer clothes-type female executive that needed one another.  Perfect ending, too.

Play Along by TL Swan

From the first pages, PLAY ALONG had my heart in my throat anticipating the worst would be found around the next corner.  You’ll get the feeling early on that there is a lot more that is not being told in the story.

As the time Rosh and Mac spend together increases the fact that they have really hot chemistry but don’t trust anyone is easily apparent.  Rosh will blow you away with some of her choices and Mac both loves and hates what she gets tangled up in.

But the emotion that comes through strongest is this deep and desperate love that seems doomed at every turn.  It’s really gripping and carries through every adventure and suspenseful moment.  TL Swan creates twists and conflicts that are on one hand surprising yet on the other hand make so much sense.  Fabulous read.

Mr Garcia by TL Swan

This book has that aching and sometimes tragic kind of love that the couple cannot stay away from.  Sebastian and April will take you on quite a journey through tempestuous, debauched and emotional times during their courtship that spans several years.

Each has their own demons making them shy away from real relationships, and the story will make you keep reading until you uncover every one of them.

I could not put this book down, but I blocked the time off considering the skill of this author. TL Swan is fabulous at writing complex, emotional novels and MR GARCIA completes the series of Julian, Spencer and Sebastian so well.  Loved it!

Our Way by TL Swan

T L Swan had me under a spell and I was completely into this book from start to finish.  How do I describe the kaleidoscope of emotions that came while reading this story?

Kaleidoscope is the perfect word because of the brilliant intensity of the feelings evoked from Eliza and Nathan’s complicated relationship.  The fractured bits of glass that make up the brilliant patterns shift and change unpredictably with each loving moment, hurtful act, betrayal, or dark escape from pain they inflicted on each other despite their love.

I loved and hated this book, it was so good.  I hated it because I knew Swan was going to take us exactly where we didn’t want to go with this couple.  I knew as a reader I was going to share their anguish and despair.  I wasn’t wrong about that.

Take a few hours to yourself and enjoy this mesmerizing story.

The Takeover - Miles High Club Book 2 by TL Swan

What to say about this story?  It’s got it all - really funny, poignant, romantic and passionate. I adored Tristan.  He embodies in so many ways, what love should be in this story.  How it’s not always about the singing birds and soft music.  The relationship between Tristan and Claire’s sons alone is worth reading about.

Claire needed someone like Tristan who took her out of her “mom” role and made her feel like a desirable woman again.  She still had so much baggage to work through in her life that it often caused them both a lot of pain.

This was a book where I could have tears in my eyes from something so sad and at the same time burst out laughing at how they reacted in the moment.  Block off some time to read because you won’t want to put this down.
