Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

Emma is a great heroine - endearing, sweet, caring and effervescent.  Her secrets are little quirky, embarrassing things but she spills them all to the man sitting beside her a plane during a very turbulent flight.

The book is both funny and poignant.  The secondary characters have such variety - annoying coworkers, boring ex boyfriend, mean girl at work, quirky family, and dearest best friend.

I was completely into the book from start to finish and just really loved Emma and how she chose to handle some truly difficult circumstances.  Jack felt that he had a big chunk of his heart missing since his best friend and business partner died and he needed someone like Emma to fill it.

I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

Poppy finds the phone Sam’s PA threw out when she quit.  Poppy’s was stolen so she asks Sam to let her share the phone with him for a few days and promises she’ll forward all of his emails and messages.

Not only is Poppy funny, kind and generous, but she’s really nosy and as a result of the phone sharing, Sam and the rest of us learn how nosy she is and how she thinks Dam should deal with some of the people he communicates with.

This was a clever story with the modern tech twist and with the shenanigan’s going on in Sam’s business, his private life, and Poppy’s upcoming wedding to Magnus.  I wish there had been more romance but loved the HEA.
