There is a lot going on in THE GOD and it really kept my interest. What made me want to read it was that Dasha was a Russian ballerina. The beauty coupled with the physical challenge of ballet makes a backdrop for a story about a delicate, ethereal woman like Dasha.
I also love protectors and Bodhan is perfect for that role. He protected Dasha from teasing when she was a little girl and now he sees her many years later as a woman. Why they parted is an integral part of the story.
Bodhan is preparing for a life as a legitimate businessman with former mafia bosses, but he first must help Dasha escape her circumstances. Their passion for one another cannot be resisted but trust, betrayal and family issues keep their relationship off kilter.
What really piqued my interest was the meeting of Zoey and Visaly. They had a brief, steamy encounter that will be the subject of the next book in the series. I loved this book and look forward to the next.
