This was an interesting book that hit the live notes on different levels - established spouses, second marriages, single mothering, friend zone, fake dating, canoodling, friends with benefits, cheating partners - a lot of relationship ground covered.
I really felt for Alice and Aaron but each for different reasons. The author took us on a heartfelt path of transformation, each owing the other for abandoning the frailties of their past. They had come to rely on each other when they needed the support of a friend, so a provocative thought triggered by the story was who they could turn to when the problem they needed help with involved each other?
There were some funny moments and also some moments that tugged at my heartstrings especially when Alice and Aaron each faced the source of their vulnerabilities.
If you enjoy a good friends to lovers while fake dating story, you’ll enjoy this book.
