Right from the start we are privy to the fact that while Chris is a famous actor, he is quite fragile emotionally. She was available to attend events with men who wanted a beautiful woman on their arm. Chris came employ her after another woman he was dating used his celebrity to open doors for herself, then broke up with him. He wanted an uncomplicated, out of the public eye relationship.
The chemistry between these two is really one to burn up the pages. One might even suggest they made rabbits look lazy.
