Like the title suggests, Xander is an ARROGANT JERK and that is what makes the book such a good read. He’s mean, he hurts people’s feelings, he gets short with his daughter and everything has to be done just so to make him happy.
Claudia enters his and daughter Yolie’s life a calm, caring and the kind of person that puts others first. Even that sets Xander off, so it is watching the two of them wrestle through this relationship that keeps you reading the book.
