Chase is a rude, sarcastic, arrogant jerk and his father’s eventual successor at the family fashion business. He’s not only a jerk, but he stays that way and you’ll end up loving the sexy jerk he can’t help being.
Maddie was his sort of girlfriend until he had to go and be a real jerk to her. She held her head up and walked away from him because she’s a beautiful person - strong, kind, and unable to resist helping people that are having a tough time.
The story has both laugh out loud, and tear producing moments as author LJ Shen often provoked in her readers. It was cleverly told with glances back using letters Maddie’s mother wrote to her when she found out she had cancer. It’s story you will enjoy reading and get all the feels from.
