So this is a unique story taking place in an underground black ops prison. Maksim is a prisoner but doesn’t know why. There are no court appearances, lawyers or trials.
Quinn is a child prodigy surgeon being forced to work in this prison by her father who runs it. She administers first aid to Maksim a few times and they connect on one level but she also feels he’s being a target of beatings set up by the guards.
I liked that the story was original and had a lot of action. The references to Maksim earlier life painted a vivid picture of addiction and withdrawal. It was a good book that was easy to read.
