The description of the book is of the fairly typical fake marriage and boss/assistant tropes, but the book is far more. What made this so much better is the writing.
Cecilia and Victor made no bones about the fact their marriage was a contract - at least not to the people closest to them. What comes next is the progression of a physical relationship at one pace, and a romantic one at another.
I didn’t even notice the passage of time, I was so immersed in this book. The characters are great. We get a little exposure to secondary characters from the other books, but in such a way that you are fine not reading the books in order. I have read the others, liked them all, but think SAY YES TO THE BOSS is my favorite one.
