There was a lot to like about the first part of this trilogy. It’s fast paced, steamy, and Viktor has the possessive alpha down perfectly. Ava doesn’t answer the phone? Viktor shows up. Ava goes someplace she isn’t supposed to go? Viktor shows up.
In addition to maintaining his dominance over Ava, Viktor is waiting to take over the clan leadership from his father. His father has very different ideas for the direction of Viktor’s life which creates compelling conflict for this story and a delicious cliffhanger.
