Fake fiancé and escort stories attract my attention, so FAKE IT FOR NOW was one I really wanted to read.
What stuck out most to me is Beau was the wealthy playboy whose damaged reputation with women was spilling over into his elite event venue business necessitating in his need for a quick image make over. Rose, on the other hand had a wholesome, almost quaint image when it came to her business and personal life making her a perfect candidate to “clean up” Beau’s reputation.
But when they got together it seemed to switch - Rose became more flirty and aggressive than the playboy. It’s usually the guy pushing the boundaries, but it was more on Rose in this case.
It’s a pretty predictable story as far as their relationship went. To me there wasn’t always consistency in words and deeds. That made it difficult at times to buy in to the progression of the relationship,
So this book was okay, but judge for yourself based on how much you like this trope. I am providing the voluntary review after reading an advance copy of the book received from the author,
