I did not see any of that coming. Well, I connected the dots on a few things, but the more major conflicts in this duet were resolved without my help.
From Great Britain to Ukraine then Moscow, Mara has one heck of time navigating from one threat to another. Was it a coincidence when Konstantin would be in the same place at the same time? Whether she was being propositioned by someone at Oxford Hills or kidnapped by someone else, she still got ready for classes. Such a good girl!
So you are in for a dark and gritty time as Konstantin and Mara’s story continues in DEFIANT QUEEN. Trust will be tested, ribs kicked, noses broken, and heads shot, all while these two start to understand one another with a tragic romance in the shadow of Romeo and Juliet. The battle for the Reznikov family continues and surprising twists are revealed. Cole did a great job sending the reader on a few wild goose chases before leading the threads of the story to its conclusion. Excellent book!
