Alex by Sawyer Bennett

ALEX is a rude, broody and disrespectful.  He’s also the best player on the team, but no one can stand him - not even the fans.  Management wants his image improved so he’s assigned to “volunteer” at a youth drug abuse center where he meets social worker, Sutton.

Everything I like about this book has to do with finding that one person that motivates you to examine and change your life for the better.  Overcoming difficult pasts is a part of this story.

The hockey part of the book is rather light.  We also aren’t overwhelmed with getting to know too many secondary characters at once.  What the author did do was spend some time letting us get to know Garrett, the subject of the next book in the series.

Some of my favorite parts of the book include jealousy, reunion with past love, mean girls, and great chemistry with passionate encounters.
