FORBIDDEN PROMISES is a fairly typical age gap/best friend’s father/father’s best friend romance. Kaylee and Kurt run into each other in an elevator when she is going to interview for her first job as a lawyer.
It is a steamy, short read. The overall story was fine. I thought the writing was not very complex and the dialogue predictable and a bit stilted.
