THE NET is not only a good story, but it also has a worthy message about not letting someone else steal your power.
As a hockey romance, it had action of a hockey game and all the secondary characters were either hockey players or their girlfriends/wives. The more dramatic moments are tied to game events.
Phoebe and Silas are a unique couple. Silas because he is so refreshingly nice, and open. Which is a shame because it is wasted on Phoebe who has intense distrust of men and their motives. The story deals a lot with Phoebe’s body image issues and does so without being maudlin.
Good book for fans of hockey romance and I would characterize Phoebe and Silas as a one sided enemies to lovers situation.
