MY FAKE FLING is one of those second chance romances that happen long after the moment one of the two people messed up and ruined the best thing they ever had.
In this case, Reese wins the award for one of the worst break ups with Thea a decade ago. He went down the road to luxury joining his father with real estate ventures that included building towers and designing new neighborhoods. Thea opened her animal shelter and took in and adopted out animals of all kinds.
The story is rich in subplots. Their reunion starts out as fake dating. At the same time, they are both dealing with family issues with their fathers, and with Thea’s brother. It’s not just buildings and animals - there is mystery, danger, threats, thugs, and steamy romance.
I read through this quickly, as it kept me so entertained, I am glad to have received an advance copy of the book from the author from which zi wrote this review.
