I liked the story of the single mom and single dad being brought together by the death of her brother/his friend. They start out as enemies with Rhodes being the broody perpetual playboy and Rylee the sensible mom everyone loves.
As they start to give in to one another, I kept waiting for some drama or the other shoe to drop. The kids were cute, but maybe too precocious and their parents not very subtle with the innuendos when they were around.
I can see why some readers would enjoy a small town, single dad getting smitten with his friend’s sister. It was just okay for me
