I liked this book for a few reasons. First, there were no hidden secrets from the past between and Elena and Ashton. He knew how he treated her although neither knew why. Second, there are a few things I like to see added to spice things up: a little mystery, office canoodling, unrequited love and jealousy from misunderstanding. Third, there is no doubt about why Elena is hired and how Ashton feels. Finally, the passion is smoldering, flaming, then 5 alarm flash point hot.
Both Ashton and Elena were well matched characters. Elena was a little inconsistent going from hands off to minx to blushing with embarrassment. Ashton isn’t the heavy handed boss type or the guy that acts broody to hide deeper feelings.
I enjoyed the book and will look at the others in the series, too since billionaire bosses are my thing.
