There is so much to like about the BREAKING BELLES series. They all have to do with the same initiation into the same secret club, but every story is still unique. As each one of the guys takes their turn, the demons of their privileged lives come forth while having their mettle tested with some young woman looking to fulfill a dream.
As soon as the initiation begins, the reader is brought right back to the rooms, grounds and club members of the Oleander. It’s what each young man is experiencing, too - they have been present before but have no way of knowing what lies ahead. OPULENT OBSESSION had a shocking turn of events.
Each story makes me impatient for the next. I like that we always get to see the first initiant, Montgomery Kingston, participate as required as a member, but also as a rare breed in this club - a gentleman. You don’t have to read them in order, but Montgomery’s story ELEGANT SINS really should be read first, in my opinion.
