My Fake Christmas Fiancé by Julie Kriss

Blog milestone book number 1000!

Whatever your standards for the Christmas romance, MY FAKE CHRISTMAS FIANCÉ will leave you with the proper good feelings of the holiday, romance and steamy times in the workplace.  Let’s be honest and admit none of us are expecting to read the next War and Peace when sitting down for a little Christmas cheer, so according to its counterparts in the genre, this book is a standout.

The story is a routine fake fiancé trope but the writing is so good.  One thing I hate in a romance is the flash backs.  Since our couple is fake engaged for a year, Julie Kriss cleverly marches us through the high points of that year the betrothed are apart with a series of email exchanges that are funny and creative.  It’s all uphill from that point on.

I’ve read a lot of Christmas romances over the years and this will go down as one of my favorites.
