The story has a lot of attractive elements starting with Hand and Heather “meeting again” accidentally. Heather remembers being stood up by Hand in high school. Hans is more concerned about damage control and doesn’t remember Heather.
Their subsequent dates and falling for each other takes place quickly. I didn’t quite buy into their connection as a reader. There really isn’t a moment where something happened that made me feel they were finding the one that got away several years ago.
This story has a lot of potential. The feels are missing.
