Royal Bastard by Summer Cooper

There aren’t enough royal romances out there so I was glad to receive an advance copy of ROYAL BASTARD to read and then write this voluntary review for.

It was a short story with a lot going on.  Evie had a tragic life and was getting helped by a foundation funded by Henry an illegitimate child of the king.

There was something that didn’t ring true in this romance and I couldn’t feel it between Henry and Evie.  Maybe it was that he treated her like a child and she let him, put then became more aggressive during “adult” times.  The voice I heard with the narrative a dialogue (while reading) was a fairy tale, but not ramped up a bit for mature audiences.
