I wanted to read this book because cowboy romances are what hooked me on reading romances (like our heroine Ella, apparently) and COWBOY is the perfect grumpy, sensitive cowboy meets sassy city girl romance.
Will is a bull rider and Ella goes to Bozeman from New York to convince his brother’s girlfriend to let her set up an art show for Fleur’s paintings. What I like about this set up is her sleezy boss sent her to Montana to land this lucrative client, telling Ella he was going to fire her soon anyway, but maybe not right away if she gets the client. Let’s just say Ella has a plan her boss will not like if it succeeds.
In a roundabout way, the plan comes to rely on Will and Ella’s ability to persuade a really stubborn and reclusive man to do something he really doesn’t want to do.
The description of Will’s past with women and his chemistry with Ella makes the story unputdownable. It’s steamy, romantic and Will’s hidden nature is slowly revealed and it is swoony worthy. It’s fitting that Ella eventually can’t help herself and the rest is history. Great cowboy romance and loved the epilogues, too!.
