BEACH READ is an original story both in the premise and in the many exchanges between Gus and January. The humor made me envious. January came up with such good comments to needle and cajole Gus. I could only hope to be that clever some day.
Both January and Gus have had recent troubling experiences. While they have had an attraction to one another since college, both had taken blows to their ability to trust after an unexpected meeting years later.
There are surprises that push the drama close to the red zone. You will not want to put the book down until you find out what happens.
